QUICK DREAM, subtitled "A Series of Exorcisms," was the first film created as part of this assignment. As Mouris explains, “It’s a series of visual experiments using cut-out magazine photos to create moving collages, along with things like color aid paper and Avery labels—anything I could use to make them animate.” It laid the groundwork for later work, especially FRANK FILM. Artists and filmmakers Robert Breer and Red Grooms critiqued the students' films, encouraging them to continue their exploration. (Yale Film Archive)
