Miracles on the Plains (2015)

In 2013, the historic oaks at Toomer's Corner on Auburn University's campus were removed after being poisoned years prior, creating a somber atmosphere for the school. Simultaneously, the Auburn football team suffered a dramatic decline, falling from national champions in 2010 to the bottom of their conference by 2012. Coach Gene Chizik was replaced by Gus Malzahn, who was the offensive coordinator during the team's championship year. Entering the 2013 season with low expectations, Malzahn inherited a team with a 60-year-long losing streak. The season that followed became one of the most remarkable turnarounds in college football history, filled with unforgettable moments and ultimately, the symbolic restoration of the beloved oaks.
