Description:
Beckmann describes her film as a tribute to the futuristic architecture of the Soviet postwar era, and a response to its transformation into shopping malls and corporate offices. She was invited by Balazs Bela Studio in Budapest to create a short experimental film in Hungary, becoming the first American artist they'd invited since the fall of the Soviet Union. She also considers the film an homage to Fernand Léger's Ballet Mécanique.
