Description:
The film opens with the results of a government election, where Rajamanthri (Vijaya) loses his seat, leading to despair among his supporters. However, his secretary Sumanasiri (Rodney) reveals that the newly elected member has been hospitalized after the shock of his victory. Rajamanthri and his team rush to the hospital, only to find the winning candidate has died, making Rajamanthri the new representative. Initially celebrating his win, Rajamanthri faces opposition from his fellow ministers (Priyantha and Jayasiri). Through a series of humorous events, he overcomes these challenges with the help of his allies. Meanwhile, Liyana Mahaththaya (Lal), the clerk (Mihira), and Kalu mudalali (Giriraj) plan an Awurudu Ulela to impress Chief Minister Narendrasinghe (Sathischandra).
