Evening Star (2004)

Maria Helena, 57, lives a routine life in the village of Lourel, near Lisbon, consumed by housework: cleaning floors, bathrooms, and doing laundry. This is the story of a woman who dreamed of escaping to distant places but never did, perhaps because she feels she was "born before her time." She navigates each day with memories and songs from the 1974 Carnation Revolution, which provide the emotional backdrop to her life.
