Description:
Set in 1990s Gothenburg, Sweden, the story centers on Oskar and his brothers Jonathan and Lukas. Their father is a local priest who takes them to church every Sunday. One Sunday, Oskar disagrees with his father's sermon and instead of participating, he and his brothers go to play in the nearby forest. Oskar wants to play a game of his own, one involving imaginary powers. They become engrossed in a fantasy game of battling monsters with laser beams when older kids discover them near a cliff. The older kids bully the brothers, forcing them to question their beliefs. Oskar is torn between defending his faith and acknowledging its potential falsehood.
