Aai Tulja Bhawani (1987)

Father Kadam Baba discovers Venu, an orphaned girl, near the Aai Tulza Bhavani temple and raises her as his own. Unbeknownst to him, Venu is the daughter of Kashi, a rape victim. Inamdar, the sugar factory chairman, wants his disabled daughter Mugdha to marry Madhav, a lab technician at the factory. However, Madhav and Venu fall in love and marry. Enraged, Inamdar plots to get Madhav fired. Adding to their troubles, Madhav's mother disapproves of the marriage because Venu did not bring dowry, leading to conflict between them. Inamdar’s mother then buries a sacred idol. Helpless, Venu struggles to cope with the unfolding circumstances.
