Douiba (2003)

This film is a story about Moroccan family and tradition. It follows Salem, known as "Zatat," a father who used to protect merchant caravans from bandits. He stopped working to stay with his three daughters, deeply worried about their safety. When he suddenly disappears on a journey, his daughters fear the worst. Aouisha, the youngest, lies to protect her sisters. She repeatedly evades the sovereign Moulay Abid, who confronts her with a weapon, thanks to her quick wit and perceptive nature.
