A Noite do Golpe de Estado (2001)

A commander of the "Captain's Movement" recounts, twenty-five years later, the pivotal 24 hours of April 25, 1974 – the events that overthrew the Portuguese government and ushered in a democratic era after a one-party dictatorship had been established by a previous military coup in 1926. The film recreates the tense atmosphere of the operation room, featuring only the commander and a few voices.
