A New Shift (2021)

For Tomáš, mining is the heart of his world, alongside soccer, his family, and the evening ritual of a beer with friends. At 44, he spent 21 years as a miner until the mine shuts down due to economic hardship. Tomáš then enrolls in a retraining program called "New Shift" to become a coder. He's unaware that these new skills won’t be enough to overcome the challenges ahead. It’s a story about fighting against fate and navigating the job market.
