One Way (2007)

This documentary explores Nepal's current economic struggles through images, interviews, and narration. For decades, many Nepalis have migrated to India's cities for work. The film focuses on Shyam Bahadur, a security guard working in the underground parking of a Bangalore apartment building. He lives with his family in the building's electrical room, working to provide for them. Memories of his journey from the Nepali mountains to Bangalore 35 years ago are woven into his present life. As his story unfolds, Nepal faces ongoing conflict, pushing more people to seek work abroad.
