Description:
The Architecture of Doom uses previously unseen footage of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime to reveal the inner workings of the Third Reich and the Nazi aesthetic in art, architecture, and popular culture. The film follows Hitler's rise from a struggling artist to a figure who crafted a world of grandiose, unsettling designs and terrifying power. Obsessed with ancient Rome and Greece, he envisioned a new Golden Age built on classical ideals and a racially pure Aryan population, rejecting modern art and deeming those considered "degenerate" unfit. The film documents the Nazis' escalating atrocities, from banning modernist art to forced euthanasia, persecution of homosexuals, and ultimately, the extermination of the Jewish people.
