Description:

"Doctor in Distress" is the fifth film in the "Doctor" series, featuring Sir Lancelot Spratt, a former teacher and occasional rival of Simon Sparrow. The perpetually single Sir Lancelot is thrown into turmoil when he injures his back and develops feelings for his physiotherapist, Iris Marchant. Distressed, he seeks help from Simon, now a senior doctor at Hampden Cross Hospital and secretly in love with Delia. Simon tries to resolve the situation by sending Sir Lancelot to a weight-loss clinic, but he becomes increasingly preoccupied with Iris, eventually hiring a private investigator to follow her, and then pursuing her himself. His proposal is rejected when she marries an army major, deepening his distress.
