Itihaas (1987)

History is shaped by events – whether on the battlefield, within a nation, or inside a family. Joginder Singh, a dedicated Police Commissioner, had his wife and three children: Vijay, Rakesh, and Jyoti. His life is disrupted when Rakesh arrests Kalicharan, a powerful underworld figure. Joginder is deeply troubled when Kalicharan is released due to Rakesh's plea. The situation escalates when Alexander, the underworld kingpin, is arrested, and resentment towards Joginder reaches a peak. After securing bail, Alexander retaliates by kidnapping and assaulting Joginder’s daughter, Jyoti. Upon learning of this tragedy from Kalicharan’s son, Joginder impulsively kills a man at the scene, believing him to be responsible.
