Arezo (2019)

Faced with a worsening situation in Afghanistan, Arezo’s mother travels to Germany to reunite with her daughter, who has lived there for years. When her asylum application is denied, they decide to appeal the deportation based on the mother's alleged poor health. On the day of the required medical examination, Arezo injects her mother with a powerful drug intended to simulate better health. Although the plan appears successful, the mother’s condition declines more rapidly than anticipated.
