Ten-year-old Kota Mizutani's health deteriorates after witnessing a murder. His mother, Mariko, brings him to Akiko's clinic. Kota recounts seeing a man strangle a woman with a cord in a park two months prior and being chased. Hamada investigates but finds no evidence of the crime. However, Kota’s story gains weight when a woman's body, killed two months earlier, is found at a construction site in Kawagoe. Following a lead from a witness who saw the victim wearing the same clothes, police search the home of photographer Kazuko Shimazaki, who is frequently away. But upon her return with her assistant Hirano, it becomes clear the victim is someone else.
