Description:
In Hebron, Palestine, three widows – Najwa, Nawal, and Siham – and their eleven children live in a house on Shuhada Street. The house is situated on the dividing line between Israeli-occupied territory and areas controlled by the Palestinian Authority. An Israeli military post guards the entrance, and an army watchtower overlooks the roof. Surrounded by Israeli soldiers, the women navigate daily life in a surreal reality where occupation has become commonplace. The story explores how this pervasive presence impacts their lives, intertwining poverty, loneliness, and pain with the simple joys of everyday existence. This is a story of an internal confinement mirroring the external occupation.
