Description:

Mike Spillone, a private detective working under false pretenses, is hired by two elderly women to investigate whether Brigitte, the wife of their nephew Otello Bellomo, is having an affair. The aunts don't know that Brigitte is a doctor. As Mike and his assistant Johnny investigate, they find Brigitte with a potential patient, Marquis De Vitti, who had been shot by the husband of a woman he'd attempted to seduce. Later, Spillone discovers Brigitte with her husband, leading him to believe they are having an affair.
