Description:
Mark and Olivia, an American couple expecting their first child, decide to fulfill their dream of a European trip before the baby arrives. They book private lodging online and begin their four-week journey. In Germany, Elisabeth greets them at the airport. She is the daughter of the landlady of their first stay – a small house by a lake in Olivia's great-grandparents' hometown. They discover the 82-year-old landlady is in the hospital and dying. Elisabeth drives Mark and Olivia to the house, where they spend their first night in Germany. During that night, Mark has a unique encounter with the owner. The following morning, an unusual quiet descends over the lakeside house, concealing the events of the previous hours.
