Description:

David Weaver's first feature film is an anthology set entirely in room 720 of a hotel, spanning different eras of the 20th century. The stories unfold during various periods: the Roaring Twenties, where a young woman endures a difficult honeymoon; the Depression era, featuring a Chinese mail-order bride's first meeting with her husband; post-World War II, with a soldier reuniting with his girlfriend and friend; the 1950s, as a professor searches for his wife amidst paranoia; the 1980s, depicting a lawyer struggling with excess and debt; and finally, at the start of the new millennium, a woman arrives to meet her online lover. The film stars acclaimed Canadian actors Tom McCamus, Sandrine Holt, and Colm Feore and was shown at the 2001 Toronto Film Festival.
