Traces (2019)

During the summer holidays, 12-year-old Selma feels resentful of her mother's attention towards her 6-year-old brother, Elliot. The woods behind their house are home to wild animals. One evening, Selma tells Elliot that their neighbor saw a bear close to the house. She observes Elliot’s increasing fascination with the forest while simultaneously wanting to be rid of him, as she constantly has to look after him. She repeats stories about bears, deliberately fueling his interest. One night, Elliot sneaks into the woods.
