Places That Do Not Exist (Goggle Earth 1.0) (2009)

"Places That Do Not Exist (Google Earth 1.0)" presents portraits and films of locations absent from Google Earth. The filmmakers traveled to these places – including military grounds, government buildings, illegally developed natural parks, and nudist beaches – in Spain, Colombia, Ecuador, Russia, and Australia – documenting their reality through video and photographs. These real-world images are then juxtaposed with the inaccurate depiction on Google Earth. The project highlights the vast number of landscapes Google Earth overlooks, offering a realistic, though subjective, perspective grounded in firsthand imagery of these very real places.
