Life Syndrome (2022)

Following her husband's death, Elizaveta Petrovna is left with only her daughter and grandson – the family she's spent her life with, and who were largely shaped by him. While sorting through his belongings, she uncovers a letter revealing a decades-old secret: her husband had a love affair in France and a child born outside of marriage. As Elizaveta tries to share this revelation with her daughter Valeria, Valeria is preoccupied with her own concerns. The grandson exists in his own isolated world. It appears the family has long been unable to truly connect. Yet, as they each grapple with their grief, the family members begin to find common ground.
