Cinematographie (2009)

This experimental film challenges traditional filmmaking techniques with its unconventional use of visuals. The black-and-white footage, depicting distorted trees, is presented with double exposure, creating a unique visual experience. Primarily silent, with only two sounds at the start, the image progressively degrades as cables, hairs, and dust obscure it. Fleeting glimpses of sunlight and human figures appear amidst the rapidly flickering images. Austrian filmmaker Philipp Fleischmann created a 360-degree camera obscura in a forest, using it to expose two 16mm filmstrips simultaneously: one to the external world and the other to the interior of the structure.
