Description:
Alexandre Singh's darkly comic thriller, "The Appointment," is a story of doubles and mistaken identity, drawing on the fantastical elements of Gothic literature. The main character, Henry Salt, a controversial writer, wakes from a nightmare to find a strange diary entry: "12 o'clock at the restaurant La Folie." He doesn't recognize the appointment, and becomes consumed with finding out who he's supposed to meet. When no one shows up, Henry embarks on a series of dreamlike encounters, uncovering a truth far more unsettling than he anticipated.
