Burning the City (2011)

Skånes Dansteater, Sweden's leading dance company, and Gaby and the Guns, a renowned Swedish band, have collaborated on this eight-minute film. It features eight dancers, four musicians, and various locations throughout Malmö, both familiar and hidden. The film explores the desire to break free from routine and the feeling of being confined within a shrinking environment. It's a plea for the city to inspire and revitalize, to offer a compelling reason to stay and resist the urge to abandon or destroy it.
