Ilox (2001)

Exploring the potential of digital photography and computer processing, I investigated what these techniques could achieve beyond traditional black and white photography and my own color experiments. I aimed to understand how abstract films develop – their structure, suspense, and resolution – drawing inspiration from the act divisions in Greek tragedy. My first abstract film, created from images of plants, was a purely experimental exercise, devoid of symbolic meaning. The title originated from a typographical error copying a name. Unlike my previous "flower pieces," this film was constructed using graphic software, with each of its 4500 frames assembled individually at 25 frames per second, making it a technically an animation film.
