Description:
1957. Anna Magnani is in America for the Oscars ceremony, and Bette Davis takes the opportunity to invite her to tea at her home. With an interpreter, the two actresses exchange compliments, and Davis suggests they look at films they've both starred in together. However, the evening takes an unexpected turn. Magnani and Davis had actually maintained a long correspondence. Their meeting sparks "La Grande Menzogna," a bittersweet comedy about the lives of unconventional artists. The film is shot in a mix of color and black and white, perfectly reflecting the style of 1950s photography.
