Description:
Dong-jin is an immigration officer who identifies illegal immigrants. He has a strained relationship with his father, who has Alzheimer's, and finds it difficult to connect with his brother and their family. His colleague, Nam-il, abuses his power through corruption, while his younger brother, Eun-seong, is overly kind. Dong-jin meets Yeon-hwa, a Korean woman working as a call girl, and develops feelings for her. She learns that a broker is holding her niece, Soon-bok, who fled from North Korea. Witnessing the sadness of Yeon-hwa and Soon-bok deeply affects Dong-jin, prompting a shift in his life. His father dies, and Yeon-hwa takes her own life. Determined to save Soon-bok, Dong-jin risks everything, but is framed for misconduct by Nam-il and betrayed by Eun-seong, leaving him with nothing but the continued search for Soon-bok.
