Kastoori: The Musk (2019)

Gopinath Chavhan, a 14-year-old from a family of manual scavengers, often accompanies his alcoholic father to his work at the civil hospital morgue. At school, he faces harassment and casteist insults from his classmates, leading him to internalize their prejudice. Gopi becomes consumed by the idea of acquiring kastoori, a legendary Indian musk with a divine scent mentioned in Hindu stories he enjoys. He sees it as a way to escape his circumstances.
