Contact (2002)

Susan Stroman directs and choreographs this three-part dance work, with John Weidman writing the libretto. The first story centers on a couple who enjoy casual relationships and their servant, whose dynamic shifts unexpectedly. The second follows a dissatisfied 1950s wife who fantasizes about being admired at a restaurant while enduring an abusive marriage. The final piece depicts a suicidal executive who rediscovers purpose by pursuing a captivating woman in a dance bar.
