Description:
During World War I in France, Marthe awaits news from her husband, Jacques, who is fighting. She begins a passionate affair with François, a 17-year-old she had previously been romantically involved with before marrying Jacques. François struggles with Marthe's marriage, while Marthe attempts to reassure him of her feelings. The situation intensifies when Marthe becomes pregnant with Jacques' child.
