Description:
Before elaborate costumes, there were costumes in a box – a childhood staple for many. This is the story behind those iconic costumes and the history of the three major companies that made them: Ben Cooper Inc., Halco, and Collegeville. For decades, these costumes were a beloved Halloween tradition dating back to the 1930s. In 1982, at the height of their popularity, a wave of domestic terrorism threatened to end Halloween. To save the holiday, these rival costume companies were forced to unite, ensuring trick-or-treating wouldn't disappear. The film explores the licensing behind popular characters like Star Wars, Spiderman, Batman, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
