Description:
Kana, a Japanese woman building a career in North America, has adjusted to her new life but finds herself emotionally detached and unable to maintain lasting relationships. Her mother calls with the news of her grandmother's death, prompting Kana's return to Japan for the funeral. There, she reflects on a pivotal conversation with her grandmother, where the elder woman expresses pride in Kana's decision to leave Japan. Kana counters that building a family and a lifelong marriage is even more challenging. Her grandmother confesses that her own marriage was not perfect, revealing a secret that shifts Kana’s perspective on relationships.
