To fund her mother's medical treatment, Gendis works as a DJ at a nightclub. Her mother's condition suddenly worsens, requiring an expensive hospital deposit. Gendis' friends, Deborah, Brenda, and Galuh, pressure her to seek help from Mr. Pulung. Gendis refuses, but they orchestrate a situation forcing her into a compromising position with him. She manages to raise the money for the hospital deposit, but her mother dies – a devastating blow compounded by past trauma. As a child, Gendis witnessed her father's abuse of her mother and his subsequent suicide.
