Description:
Ten years after beginning to film homeless drug addict Pia Sjögren, documentary filmmaker Tom Alandh completes his third and final film about her. Pia started using cannabis and drugs at 14, and her life rapidly spiraled. She experienced escalating drug use, violence, and years of hardship in basements and attics. This included cycles of treatment, incarceration, and relapse, repeatedly returning to a state of despair and self-reproach. For a decade, Tom Alandh and photographer Björn Henriksson documented Pia's life. This third film shows her journey to recovery against considerable odds.
