Description:
Born with a permanently paralyzed arm, Queen Victoria's grandson, the future Kaiser Wilhelm II, faced a disability considered deeply shameful. His mother believed his condition was a haunting presence and insisted he conceal his arm his entire life. Harsh attempts to "cure" him damaged their bond, shaping the boy destined to unite Britain and Germany into the figure who ultimately fractured those alliances. This documentary, using a newly discovered collection of private family letters, unveils this hidden story of childhood cruelty, concealed shame, and troubling desires, tracing its origins within the royal family and culminating in the devastation of World War I.
