Description:
In 2008, teachers in Sergipe fought a legal battle against the state government to protect their hard-won rights. Thirty thousand teachers from across the state traveled to the capital, Aracaju, to protest the potential end of their teaching careers. The challenge was to persuade the court to reject the government's proposal. After two delays, the month-long trial continued. Amidst the conflict between the government and the teachers, Professor Ana Rosa navigates the difficulties of being a mother, a woman, and a union leader, struggling to balance her professional and personal life while facing her husband’s lack of understanding and his mother's traditional views.
