Description:
Fourteen-year-old Juliette lives on her father's farm with her brother. Her mother left when Juliette was young to pursue a career in New York, a departure that coincided with Juliette gaining weight. While not obese, Juliette is the heaviest girl at her high school. However, she’s lively, funny, and defiantly rebellious. She dreams of throwing amazing parties, moving to New York to be with her mother, and dating an older, attractive senior. Essentially, she desires everything just out of reach—sometimes blinding her to those who care for her. The film follows this bold and lovable girl during her busy final weeks before summer, as she navigates growing up—but not quite ready to fully mature.
