WCW Clash of the Champions XXIV (1993)

WCW Clash of The Champions XXIV took place on August 18, 1993, at The Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Lord Steven Regal filled in for the injured Brian Pillman. A change in plans occurred on September 1st when Anderson and Roma were stripped of the NWA World Tag Team Championship due to WCW's departure from the NWA. Bobby Eaton stepped in to replace Regal, who had taken over from Pillman. In the main event, a potential disqualification of Vader would have resulted in Smith losing the title. Following the match, Cactus Jack made a return and attacked Vader. The Shockmaster debuted for WCW during one of the most memorable moments in wrestling history.
