Description:
In Montevideo, Uruguay, Elisa, 27, aspires to open a hair salon in the city's affluent area. A spirited woman, she leaves her mother's home with her two children and ends her relationship with Garcia, her boss and lover, who refuses to marry her. Within a day, Elisa is homeless, single, jobless, and penniless. Her friend Loulou finds her work in a brothel owned by Dona Jacqueline. Unknowingly, Elisa enters prostitution, which takes her to Barcelona. There, she experiences love and exploitation, becomes entangled in gang conflicts, all while holding onto the dream of saving enough money for her own beauty salon back in Uruguay.
