Description:
Owen Whitmore, a troubled teenager with a sleep disorder and occasional sleepwalking episodes, is undergoing therapy with Dr. Katherine Ramos. As he starts medical school, Owen must relocate, creating conflict between his studies and his girlfriend, Maggie. His parents are deeply concerned. When Owen experiences disturbing dreams, Dr. Ramos consults with Dr. Jonas Julian, a specialist in dream analysis and sleep disorders. Simultaneously, protests erupt outside Townsend State Prison where Dr. Eugene "Mean Gene" Branch, the son of a serial killer who committed sadistic medical experiments, is scheduled for execution. Suddenly, Marcia Freeman, a missing person, is found dead with a murder scene mirroring Owen's dreams – staged to look like Dr. Branch's work.
