9-11/9-11 (2007)

This film presents Mel Chin's animated short, reflecting on two significant events that occurred on September 11th. In 1973, a US-backed military coup in Chile overthrew President Salvador Allende, beginning a 17-year dictatorship under Augusto Pinochet marked by over 3,000 deaths and widespread torture. Twenty-eight years later, in 2001, the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City deeply impacted the American people's sense of security.
