Over two decades, their story follows the growth of the gay and lesbian liberation movement in South Africa and offers a personal view of the AIDS crisis in Africa. Bev Ditsie uses interviews, old photos, and newspaper articles to explore their special connection, openly discussing the obstacles they encountered, including sexism within the movement. Their dedication helped South Africa become the first country to protect sexual orientation in its constitution.
