Beyond the Lake (2006)

Thanos lives a quiet life with his family in a village by a lake in Epirus. His ordinary existence is disrupted one Carnival night by a mysterious veiled dancer. This encounter leads him to meet the local fairy, known as the "woman of the other shore." His journey into the unknown causes conflict with his family and community. He finds support only in Vavo, his grandmother, who exists between the human and supernatural worlds. Thanos persists on his path, but his pursuit of an ideal woman ultimately has deadly consequences.
