Compound (2006)

To protect his family from trouble, Virgilio de los Reyes relies on crystal methamphetamine, maintaining a facade of normalcy. They take in Jay Juanillo as a tenant. Jay, also seeking escape from his own life with his wife and a lover, integrates with the de los Reyes family. Initially charmed by their seemingly perfect life, Jay witnesses the family's unraveling and becomes caught in their internal conflicts. As Virgilio’s paranoia grows, Jay is increasingly targeted, becoming a convenient excuse for Virgilio's distorted perceptions. When their plans to escape fail and reality intrudes, violence from the outside spills into the compound.
