Description:
"Liefling" is a love story framed by generations of Afrikaans music, from the 1970s to today. The film centers on Liefling Marais, a spirited young woman who embraces life and adventure. She lives on a farm with her father Simon, mother Linda, grandfather Karel, brother Kobus, and housekeeper Katy. Simon is a university professor where he meets his friends Jan, Pieter, and Gert. Jan also lives in Hartbeespoort with his grandmother Elsa Ferreira. The story begins during the December holidays when Melanie von Staden, a privileged girl, sets her sights on the popular Jan, who is interested in Liefling. Unexpectedly, lovers, friends, and rivals are brought together. It's a story filled with both tears and laughter, song and dance.
