Stories of Intersex and Faith (2019)

"Stories of Intersex and Faith" offers a glimpse into the experience of feeling unseen and facing abuse and shame because of being born with variations in sex characteristics. Through five sensitive and moving stories, the film fosters understanding for those whose bodies differ from the norm, clarifies misconceptions about human sex differences, and eases anxieties surrounding discussions of sex and gender. Ultimately, "Stories of Intersex and Faith" aims to encourage more productive conversations on this topic. Meanwhile, Magda and Nina develop a connection, built on a foundation of difficulty in establishing genuine intimacy.
