Description:

Fresh out of school, best friends Kati and Jo set off on a southbound world trip in Kati's purple Benz. Kati had hesitated about the journey, as the man she loved returned to their hometown of Tandern just before they left. Their travels take them over the Brenner Pass, where their car breaks down. Adding to the turmoil, Kati learns her grandfather is dying, and she begins to want to go home, testing the strength of her friendship with Jo.
