Vespa (2010)

A boy secretly travels from his hometown to Budapest to collect a prize, but his journey becomes a hopeful search for his missing father. Lali, a Roma boy, wins a chocolate bar in a card game and unexpectedly discovers the wrapper makes him the winner of a red motor scooter. He must figure out how to claim the prize in person, a challenge for a twelve-year-old who looks younger. In this sensitive and beautifully made coming-of-age story, first-time director Groó offers a realistic and heartfelt portrayal of childhood transitioning into adulthood.
